Cookies Policy

Last updated: -05-11. This document explains how Freshbeauty uses cookies and similar technologies on freshbeauty.world, how preferences are stored, and how you can update your choices. Personal information linked to optional analytics or marketing tags is also handled under our Privacy Policy (Privacy Act 2020, New Zealand).

What we mean by cookies and similar technologies

In addition to traditional HTTP cookies placed by a server response, we use browser local storage to remember your consent selections. Local storage entries perform a similar function to cookies for persistence across sessions on the same device and browser.

Strictly necessary

These technologies are required for core functions such as displaying the cookie banner state, remembering that you have made a choice, and keeping navigation secure. They are always active and cannot be disabled through the settings panel because doing so would break basic site behaviour.

Analytics

If you enable analytics, we may load third-party scripts that measure aggregate traffic patterns, referral sources, and device categories. Analytics is off by default until you choose Accept All or enable the category in Cookie Settings and save.

Marketing

If you enable marketing, we may load technologies that support campaign measurement or remarketing pixels. Marketing is off by default until you opt in. We do not use marketing tools to profile health conditions or sensitive categories.

How preferences are stored

When you select Accept All, Reject, or Save preferences, we write a JSON object to localStorage under the key tdd_cookie_prefs_v1. The object records whether analytics and marketing are permitted and whether a decision has been finalised. You can clear site data in your browser to reset preferences; the banner will reappear.

Retention

Consent records remain until you clear them or until we change the storage key following a material update to this Policy, in which case we will prompt you to choose again.

Your choices

You may reopen Cookie Settings at any time by clearing local storage and refreshing the page, which restores the banner, or by contacting us to request guidance on resetting preferences. You may also control traditional cookies through your browser settings.
