Information for consumers in New Zealand

This page summarises how New Zealand law may protect you when you buy services from us, where to go for independent help, and how we handle pricing transparency. It is a summary only—statutes and regulations prevail.

Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (CGA)

If you acquire services from us as a consumer within the meaning of the CGA, the services come with guarantees that they will be carried out with reasonable care and skill, be fit for any particular purpose you make known, and be completed within a reasonable time where no time is stated. The CGA cannot be contracted out of for personal or domestic services. Our Return and Refund Policy explains remedies when things go wrong and works alongside your statutory rights.

Fair Trading Act 1986 (FTA)

We must not mislead or deceive in trade, including in advertising or on this website. We aim to describe planning support accurately, avoid exaggerated claims, and make clear that we do not provide regulated health services.

Privacy Act 2020

Your personal information is handled in line with our Privacy Policy. You may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner if you believe we have interfered with your privacy.

Unsolicited Electronic Messages Act 2007

If you join a mailing list in future, we will only send commercial electronic messages with your consent, accurate sender information, and a working unsubscribe function.

Pricing and GST

Quotes and invoices are in New Zealand dollars. Where we are GST-registered, GST will be shown in accordance with Inland Revenue rules; where not registered, invoices will state that GST is not charged. This website does not process payments—bank transfer or other agreed methods are set out on your invoice.
